Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV chef and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces the fear of eating at restaurants in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell is also a part of many of the best eateries located in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy as well as competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. Following graduation at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell took a full year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy, Chef Burrell acquired an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian food. It had a significant impact on how she views food. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. As a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the United States to discuss her love for cooking and profession. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has always said I feel so lucky to be able to share my true passion for life with people.
